Decorating on a Budget

I am a usually a hard core traditionalist. I adhere to the tradition of putting my Christmas tree up the day after Thanksgiving every year. This year was a little different I had to work that Friday so I decided to go ahead and put the tree up on Thanksgiving night.
After many years of using the same tree and ornaments I have changed things up a little.
I usually have a modest green tree fully engulfed in oodles of homemade ornaments accumulated from over the years of my little ones school and church projects. I have always stuck by that tradition but my kids are no longer making new ornaments at school and I wanted to do a little something different.
I have a small but cozy home and a modest budget, so I had to get creative with my ideas for a beautiful tree. Old Time Pottery is one of my favorite stores for fabulous deals on household items.
I browsed the aisles and these cute little ornaments for so cheap and decided on a whimsical theme. I wanted something fun and colorful!
I got this white tree for $5.99, the ornaments for $3.99, and the ribbon for $2.
And a some little gift box thingies for only a couple bucks. So all-in-all $15 bucks got me a super adorable tree. It might be little but I still love my little whimsical tree!!!
You just have to use a little creativity!!!!!

Hidden Valley ranch Day of Fun Feast

We had a ball trying out all the yummy creative recipes! I absolutely love parties.
Even more so when they involve food.
I got a party pack from Crowdtap to have a Hidden Valley Ranch Feast!
I invited some of the best partiers I know and told them to bring their favorite ranch dish, give it a fun creative ranch-ified name and hope to win a prize!

http://crowdtap.com/
We were so happy to dig right in the food but I did manage to snag up a few pics before it was all gone. My sis, who is obsessed with cows, made Broccoli "Cow"liflower Ranch Salad
and this beautiful lady made Rocky Top Ranch Sliders you can see pictured on the right. I the close up was blurry BOOOO....

This was the

 Not Ranch Pecan Pie
Because we just NEEDED dessert and I couldn't find a recipe with ranch!
Quit Yer Belly Achin Chicken Bacon Ranch Salad
everything is good with bacon....errr RANCH!!!
And the most creative names were.....

I think this contest was rigged!!!! LOL
We had a blast and learned lots of new recipes.
Everything was sooo good and you all should definitely go to
Hidden Valley Ranch website and check out all their great recipes!!!!

ShayCarl Argyle Socks Review

So how about some new socks for Christmas....
What???? NO???
Doesn't everyone like new socks for the holidays?
I know I do and especially when it is a gift to me from me....
And featuring my most favorite internet family ever!!!!

OMG what do you mean who is ShayCarl and the Shaytards?
Only the coolest guy on YouTUBE.
Anyway, I am totally obsessed. So I had to have some of these freaking awesome socks so
I can sing the "Socks" song properly.

There are several different styles to choose from but I wanted the thicker warm one since winter is coming up. I love to have some cozy warm socks.
There are also traditional argyle dress socks in the thinner version as well.

Each pair has the signature "S" at the top and the ShayCarl Brand Name on the bottom.
I love em completely. I cannot believe how great of quality they are they feel like very good thick socks.

Here I am already sitting back enjoying the newest Shaytards video in my cozy socks.
