Panty by Post March 2013

I know this is kind of an unusual post but it is something we all buy.
Feeling sexy comes from many factors including the make up you wear, how you fix your hair, the shoes and clothing you wear, all the way down to the under garments you chose for the day.
I was lucky enough to come across this subscription service called Panty By Post.
They were nice enough to offer a complimentary pair for me to review.
I am usually a little unsure about buying clothing from the Internet
because I am plus size and doubt that the online shops will have my size and if they do they won't be sized right and will not fit me. Then, I will have to go through a long drawn out return process and blah blah all those things we hate.

However, After looking into Panty By Post I found that they offer sizes up to 4xl. BINGO!
Sexy bloomers and they come in my size!
 So on with the package.
Beautifully packaged in a cute box that clearly says Panty By Post.
I wonder if my mailman was blushing?
Inside the panties were also wrapped very neatly in tissue paper.
My suspense was overwhelming, all this purty stuff and I am still not sure if they will even fit me.
Oh yes, there is also a great element of surprise.
You only know the style you chose but you will not know what you get until you actually open it up.
Did I mention I got thongs? Oh yeah sexy to the max over here!
If you subscribe you can choose from their signature line or their bridal line.
Between the 2 you can also choose briefs or thongs.

I thought these were so cute with the back being all lacy like this.
Need I remind you I am not used to finding sexy undies in my size!
I think these are made really well. I have no concerns about stitching or fabric issues.
I feel like they will hold up fairly well under my behind.

If you would like to sign up with Panty by Post you get to choose the plan you want. They offer multiple choices for subscriptions. You can get a single panty or sign up for recurring monthly shipments. Each plan varies in pricing beginning with $25 for a single panty and as low as $15/month for a yr subscription.
Just click the link above and you can browse their site and see for yourself all the choices you have. There is a 100% satisfaction guarantee so for any reason you have a problem just contact their customer service and I can assure you they respond quickly!
I think this would be a great idea for someone to get for themselves or also as a bridal gift
that would continue throughout the newlyweds first year.

Disclaimer: I received this product for free to review. However, All opinions are true and I only recommend products I believe would be good for myself and my readers.

DIY: Jeans To Shorts

Geez Kid's are expensive!!!

How can anyone spend so much for a pair of jeans and the kid only wears them for a few months
and not be upset about it?

The seasons change and by the time it's cool again for jeans they are too tall.
Having 3 kids I have had to come up with some frugal solutions to all this unnecessary spending.

I usually donate my kids old clothes to goodwill when they have outgrown them but sometimes I feel like they could get some extra use out of them so I can really get my money's worth.
I have decided to try to stretch these jeans out for another season of wear. These particular jeans still fit great in the waist and since warmer weather is coming I thought I would chop them off into shorts.
Instead of the ragged look I thought I would try to make them a little neater.

I started out with 2 pairs of skinny jeans . They have a little stretch to them but I don't think that will make a huge difference in anything I will be doing.

I first had my daughter try them on and I just simply marked just below the knee with an ink pen.

This marks where to cut.
I chose just below the knee because I would like these shorts to be just above the knee to accommodate school dress code.

Fold the jeans front facing inward where you can make sure the lines match up on each leg.

I just cut both legs at the same time making sure to keep them as even as possible.
I am never perfect at anything so it is just as fun to be uneven sometimes!

I folded each leg up 2 times and then ironed it down to hold the fold down for me.
It worked perfectly. Do I need to remind you I am no crafter?
I am probably not doing this the best way but whatever....
So I used a little piece of stitch witchery - I think that what its called-
for the long part of the hem. It looks like tape... but you iron it.... Is that what it's called?
Anyway... so I used that for the long part of the hem and ironed it down. Maybe it will stay for a little while. I put just a couple little stitches on the edges just to keep it from unfolding.

See Where I tried to hide the stitches under the seam?

So I did both pairs exactly the same. Here she is trying on the blue ones. They fit perfectly above the knee. I don't think the teachers will have a problem with that!

Looks like they lined up nicely and the hems are laying flat very well.
She loves them and says it is just having a new pair of shorts.
My kids are so easy to please!

So 2 new pairs of shorts for the cost of a couple piece hem tape stuff....
What is that stuff called????

So what do we do with these arm warmers?

Some call them "guilty pleasures." We prefer "well-earned necessities." Cravebox brings you a romantic read that will whisk you away from the everyday.

That simple line won me over.... I just had to get this Cravebox.
Well maybe it is just the fact I am addicted to Cravebox. I have been trying out several different subscription boxes and this by far is my favorite. I haven't been reading that much lately but I have good intentions. I really should get my face out of this computer and into a book.

But, until then here is the box I received.

Looks  a little light right? Yeah I thought so too until I got into it.

Biore sample pack I really have been looking for something great for acne. I hope this can accomplish what so many others have not. I cannot seem to find something that works well with my crazy skin.

Vaseline total moisture lotion.  I tried this already and love the feel of it.
It smells awesome as well. I will be picking up a full size bottle of this next trip to the store.

John Freida full repair deep conditioner. I have been really looking for something for my daughter's super frizzy hair. I hope this helps. It is supposed to hydrate and rescue dry dull hair. I will keep ya posted on how this works.

And.... the piece de resistance....

My take on Shake and Bake

I am a huge fan of food network.
I frequently watch Semi- Homemade with Sandra Lee. I have found that a lot of store bought things can be made just as simply as buying them or adding to them to make them even better.
This is my version of shake and bake. I haven't done the math exactly but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that these ingredients will last more than 2 meals like a single box of shake and bake.

I started with these few things....
chicken breasts
Italian style bread crumbs
Zatarain's Creole Seasoning to add little spice
and some black pepper
Later I ended up using some Parmesan Cheese as well.

Put about a cup of bread crumbs into a shallow dish, then add some seasonings to your taste.
Everyone is different and this isn't a hard and true recipe so you can adapt it to however you like.

I mixed the seasonings a little then place each piece of chicken
separately to coat with crumbs and seasoning.

I placed each piece onto a nonstick baking sheet.
I used the cookie sheet from my Green Pan set.
I thought the chicken needed a little extra something so I put a little Parmesan Cheese
on each piece as well.

Baked at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.
Or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
Always be safe and make sure it's done!

I served this yummy chicken with a salad and
twice baked potato casserole.
(will post recipe for that soon)

Book Review: When I Fall in Love

When I Fall in Love

By: Clint Morey

It must be nice to have the perfect plan for your life. Amy Prescott is just your ordinary, everyday high school senior — beautiful, brilliant, athletic, able to pick the hunk of her choice, and a scholarship to Harvard nearly in her hands. Okay, maybe not so ordinary. She has her life planned out and it’s an exciting, adventurous plan. She can hardly wait for the next step. But when she’s forced to care for her grandparents in Montana during Christmas break, Amy finds her orchestrated world is about to snap. She’s stuck with a cantankerous grandfather who doesn’t want her help, but needs it because of a stroke, a grandmother who is the sweetest thing ever, but suffers from Alzheimer’s, and family members out to protect “their share” of the estate. Grandpa, a master cello maker who can no longer do his craft, reluctantly shares with Amy the story of his great adventure – how he met and won the heart of his wife in Vietnam. But Amy has more immediate concerns. Is her boyfriend dating someone else when she’s not around? How can she fend off the Montana boy who has taken an interest in her? And then there’s that Harvard thing. Amy doesn’t need any of this. Not now. Her life is planned.
It’s a perfect plan. At least it was.
I enjoyed it thoroughly. The author's intended audience was young adult but I feel this book would appeal to adults as well. Everyone can benefit from reading about love and friendship. I laughed at several points and wanted to cry at other so have your tissues handy when you read this one.

You can recieve a copy from Amazon for your kindle or Kindle App for PC for only $2.99.
