Ipsy Glam Bag June 2013

After seeing so many people loving their Ipsy Glam Bags I just had to subscribe!
Ipsy is only $10 a month and you get a cute little bag each month filled
with deluxe samples and full size products!
This month's theme is "On the Wild Side" I love the cute bag this month with the wild print I know exactly who this is going to!

The first thing I explored was the Chella Ivory Lace highlighter Pencil. I played with this and love how it works. It lightens up around my eyes and can also be used as a light concealer.

Then I pulled out this Lip pencil from Starlooks! I got the color tickle me pink and even though it looks like a great color I am not really one for lip pencils.

Ok ad now this eye liner in all it's super cute packaging glory!

I got this in the color IRON. I like it because it is not as dark as black and can create a smoky look without being too dark.

It has the easiest application setup as well. I cannot draw a straight line to save my life but with this being gel it makes it go on so smooth and the nice brush makes application so simple.

Next I received this NYX Cream blush.

And Finally I saw this sparkling glitter cream palette.
I use glitter occasionally and my girls love it!

Overall, I think this is going to a great bag each month for only $10, after seeing this bag though I did go and re-take my style quiz so maybe next month I will get stuff better suited to thing I will use more often. This bag values well over $10 so it is so worth it!

Secret Outlast Clear Gel

I am so lucky to have found a deodorant I can rely on.
Thanks to Influenster I received this Secret Outlast Clear Gel for free to review.

They have the cutest video on youtube... I can relate easily to some of these crazy moves!
It is so embarrassing to have deodorant white marks on your clothes. I wear tank tops very often and I hate it when you can see my deodorant it is sooo gross!

I have tried this deodorant and love it. I sometime have trouble with irritation due to the product I use. I have been using this for over a week now and have not seen the first sign of irritation. I am glad, too, because this stuff works so well I believe I will be using it as my regular deo.

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure

Nail polish junkie here reporting for duty!

I am a hardcore Nail polish fanatic...
I do not normally wear press on nails so I felt a little hesitant trying these.
They are super cute though! I just had to try them because I am all about adorable nails.

That is exactly what I got too..... the cutest nails ever!
I am not too fond of the feeling of having fake nails but that is just me.
Lucky for me there were plenty sizes I could pick just the right ones for each nail and they weren't too long.
I could not wear these for long because I felt so weird jumping from short to long nails but I kept them on for a few days and when I tried to take them off these Impress nails were still hanging on nice and strong I am sure they would have lasted at least a full week if not longer.

I was feeling lazy the next time  I put them on I didn't even clean my polish off and they stuck just fine and even threw a nice color through the background!

I think I am going to try to leave them on as long as I can this time.

Tasty Kake: Candy Bar or Cake?

OMG my diet is off track right now!
I have fallen in love and cannot seem to get back on track.

My new love is a little guy.... dark skin and such a softy although he is a little nutty!
Peanutty that is!!!!!

HaHa tricked ya!!! But seriously this little snacks tricks every time I eat one! I cannot decide if it is a candy bar or a snack cake.
I had to immediately go buy a whole box because one cake among me and the kids was not going to work at all. I was lucky enough to find the box of 5 for $3 at Dollar General.... Not a bad buy!

They are soft with a delicate chocolate coating and a layer of peanut butter in the center!
There is no better combination than peanut butter and chocolate.

Doesn't that look amazing? Yep it tasted amazing too.... Thanks a lot Influenster for ruining my diet!
Nah just kidding I love it!!

Best Hair Day: Schwarzkopf Osis Love

I am absolutely loving Influenster right now! I have been exploring the contents of the Spring VoxBox they sent me and playing around with everything!

I have tried the Schwazkopf Gelastic texture for the first time
and it seems as though this is the best hair day I have had in a long time!
Normally my hair is so limp and lifeless and I just don't do anything with it except pull it up into a crazy bun and go on about my day!

Well this gel is just as simple and effective as throwing my hair back.

I'm loving it and you can follow them on Twitter to learn more about their products!

Julep Maven June 2013

I am sad to have to report I am cancelling my subscription with Julep Maven.
Not quite worth $20 to me.

The most awful colors this month.

I loved the May box since it featured other beauty items, however I was not happy with this month's box at all. Why did I not just skip? You may be asking yourself... Well I would have had I received an email letting me know my choices for this month. I am guessing since the email schedule was a little in shambles considering it was over memorial day weekend this month. So I was not complaining about getting the box until I received it and was so very displeased with these polishes. I have a collection of many many polishes just like many other ladies my age. I want to think I could spot differences in quality polishes! I received Kennedy and Martha. Kennedy was a yellow/green color not unlike baby poo and very thin and opaque. Martha on the other hand was not opaque but a milky pink color that was also very thin and did not go on smooth at all. I would gladly send this box back to you for a refund but I did like the taffy and I enjoyed those one at a time to be sure I got my entire $20 worth out of them. As for the DD Crème.... I gave it a small test and it seems ok but we will see when I get out in the sun. So goodbye Julep Maven It was nice knowing you and I wish there was more I could have gotten from your company.

I am also including this link to my past reviews that I have posted.

Summer Snacks

Well it is officially summer and time for snacking on all the summer refreshing goodies!
Watermelon, cantaloupe, peaches, strawberries, and all those other fresh yummy fruits!
Speaking of strawberries.... I am trying my hand at growing some of my own! But we will save that for another day! I have to get some pictures for you!

 Anyway.....
Our family favorites change with the seasons and right now it is Nanny's Banana Pudding. I have always loved banana pudding but it never tasted like Nanny's. I finally ask her what she does different and she told me her secret. I never knew to put sweetened condensed milk into the recipe.

Apparently after hunting YouTube I found that there are lot of people that make it this way. I made it like this a few times with my girls watching closely until they finally got it down and wanted to try it on their own. I thought this would be a good chance for them to get one of their summer videos out of the way!

Here is their take on Nanny's Best Banana Pudding!
