Book review and Giveaway: Coaster

Summer reading...

You can learn more about this author, Lorena Bathey on her website. I have read The X, another of her works, and reviewed it previously here.  Lorena has a few other books as well and I hope to get the opportunity to read those as well. I love her writing style.

This has been then wettest summer ever....And what do you do when you are stuck in the house???
Find a good book about summer vacations.

A whodunit wrapped in this intense story following several people through a set of events destined to change their lives,  "Coaster" helped me to appreciate our not going to the amusement parks this summer. All of the dramatic events in this book kept me reading without putting it down!
I read this quick but dramatic story in just a few hours.
Starting with a tragic event and ending with every one's lives turned upside down. This great book makes you realize all sides of a tragic event and how it affects those involved.

My son, Anthony, is also on this review since he reads even more than I do.
He actually read this book first, the very day it arrived. So, I couldn't help but ask him what he thought.

The book, Coaster, had a delightful plot. The story itself was wonderful in the way the characters changes in personality and mood. Grief seemed to change them all. I felt the story a little hard to follow at some points with the switching of perspective all too often. Overall, a great read.

Note: This story did have some adult theme and language and may not be
appropriate for young readers.

  1. Wow, two reviews for the price of one. Thank you so much Antonia and your son for taking the time to read Coaster. I'm glad it kept your attention and you liked the characters.
You might want to check out The X which was my book before Coaster. It's a thriller.

  2. I heard all the fantastic reviews Antonia and my grandson, Anthony. My favorite time to read is on a rainy day. Curl up in my favorite chair on the porch, listen to the rain as I dive into an adventure.
